By playing Grido XI you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

Who provides the game

Grido XI is made and provided by Aydın Sarıcan, an individual developer based in Türkiye. "We" in these terms means him. There is no company behind the game. You can reach us at aydnsrcn@gmail.com.

These terms are between you and us. Apple distributes the app and handles payments, but the game and its content are our responsibility, not Apple's.

The game

Grido XI is a football trivia game. You may play it for your own entertainment. You may not resell it, or use it to build a competing dataset.

The game is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you buy anything.

No affiliation

Grido XI is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any club, league, federation or player. Club and player names are used descriptively, to say which club or player a puzzle is about. Clubs are drawn as abstract two-colour marks in their real colours; no crest, badge, emblem or player image appears anywhere in the app.

Career data is derived from Wikidata (CC0).

Your account

On the welcome screen you choose how to play: continue with Apple, continue with Google, or play as a guest. There is no password in any case. A guest gets an anonymous account, and we never ask a guest who they are. That has a price: the key to a guest account lives only on your device, and if you lose the device we cannot give the account back, because we have no way of knowing it is yours.

Signing in changes that. Continuing with Apple or Google, on the welcome screen or later in Settings → Account, ties the game account to that Apple or Google account, so that you can open it again on another device. Signing in is optional. One sign-in goes with one game account: if you link a sign-in that already has an account, the app asks which of the two you want to keep and deletes the other, with its progress and coins. What signing in stores is described in the Privacy Policy, under "Linked accounts".

You can delete your account at any time with Delete account in Settings → Account, or by writing to us.

Do not use the app to interfere with other players: automating play, tampering with the app to forge scores or match results, or exploiting a defect instead of reporting it.

Practice bots

When no human opponent is available in a live mode, you are matched with a practice bot. It is always labelled as one on screen. A match against a bot never changes your rating, and winning it wins you nothing. Daily quests that ask you to play a live match count the match whoever your opponent was, a practice bot included, because the reward is for playing. Bots are never used in anything you pay for. A bot never sends reactions, and none can be sent in a match against one. A private room, which you open to play a friend with a code, is different: the match in it is a friendly match that is never rated, and no bot ever joins. If nobody joins, the room closes after ten minutes.

Purchases

Two things are sold in the app. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription with four benefits: every past daily grid in the archive, no ad after live matches, detailed statistics (the Scout report on your Profile) and free hints in Unlimited. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase that removes the ad after live matches and nothing else. That ad is the full-screen one that can appear when you leave a finished live match (Live 1v1 or 3-2-1-!). The video you can choose to watch for coins is separate and stays optional for everyone. The price is shown before you confirm.

• Purchases go through Apple. They are made in Apple's App Store, with your Apple Account, under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes). Depending on your country, Apple sells to you itself as the merchant of record or acts as our agent. In both cases Apple takes the payment and handles billing, renewal, withdrawal and refunds. We never receive your payment details and cannot issue refunds ourselves. To check which purchases you have, the app uses RevenueCat, a service that verifies App Store purchases on our behalf; the Privacy Policy says what it receives, under "Purchases".
• Pro renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal to your Apple Account within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• Changing your mind (right of withdrawal). If the law where you live gives you 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase, as it does in the EEA and the UK, you use that right with Apple. Apple's terms for those countries say this at the time of writing: you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your receipt without giving a reason; you do it in your Apple Account under Purchase History with "Withdraw Transaction", or with Apple's withdrawal form; Apple refunds you within 14 days of your notice; for a subscription the right applies to the first purchase, not to each renewal; and it ends for content whose delivery has started at your request, once you have acknowledged that you lose it.
• Refunds in other cases are decided by Apple. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• If something you paid for does not work, write to us and we will try to fix it. This does not replace the rights the law gives you when digital content or a digital service is faulty or not as described.
• Coins are not sold. You earn them by playing (for example the daily reward, daily quests, and level and streak rewards) and by choosing to watch an optional ad. They are a virtual item with no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred between accounts.
• Purchases belong to your Apple Account, not to the game account: Restore purchases brings them back on a new device. Deleting your game account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store settings. Unspent coins are lost when you delete your account.

Nothing sold in the app gives an advantage in ranked play.

Content in the game

Everything you see is generated by the app or drawn from the dataset. There is no chat and no free-text field, so there is no user-generated content to moderate: your nickname, flag and shirt are picked from fixed lists, not typed or uploaded.

Reactions. In a live match against another player, each of you can send the other one of six preset emoji, at most one every three seconds, during the match and for one minute after it ends. There is still no chat and no text: those six are all there is, and a reaction is not saved. You can mute an opponent's reactions for the current match, which they are not told, or switch reactions off altogether with Show reactions in Settings → Game: you then neither see nor send them.

Availability

The game runs offline. Online features (leaderboards, challenges, live matches, the daily reward, daily quests, the cloud copy of your progress) depend on a server that may sometimes be unavailable.

Game Center. Leaderboards and achievements in Game Center are run by Apple, under Apple's own terms. They are optional: nothing in the game requires Game Center, and what the app sends there is described in the Privacy Policy, under "Game Center".

Changes and removal

Changes to the game. We keep working on the game, so features and modes can change, be paused or be withdrawn. Changes that matter are announced in the app or in its App Store update notes. A feature you paid for is not withdrawn without notice: we announce it in advance, at least 30 days before wherever we can. If a change makes something you paid for clearly worse, the rights your law gives you in that case stay intact, and you can cancel a subscription at any time.

Changes to these terms. The current version is always in the app, with the date of the last change at the top. Changes that affect your rights are announced before they take effect: in the app, with a notice titled "We updated our terms" that opens the new text, or in its App Store update notes. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop playing, cancel a subscription and delete your account.

Removing scores or accounts. We remove a score or an account only for cheating or abuse: automated play, forged scores or match results, or exploiting a defect. We have no way of contacting you, so there is no warning beforehand. If you think we got it wrong, write to aydnsrcn@gmail.com and we will look at it again and tell you what we found.

Liability

The football data comes from public sources and will sometimes be wrong; the "This should count" button is how that gets fixed. We work to keep the game running and correct, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms limits what the law does not allow us to limit. We remain liable for damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, for death or personal injury, and for everything consumer law guarantees you, such as digital content and services that match their description and work as they should.

Apart from that, and as far as the law where you live allows, we are not liable for losses that neither you nor we could reasonably have expected when you started playing, or that were not caused by our breaking these terms or the law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, this choice takes away none of the protection that the mandatory rules of the country where you live give you, and you can still bring a claim before the courts of that country wherever the law gives you that right.
